Shipper &#8211; Sending Beer to a Buddy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, we&#8217;re off to the 6th Annual Beer Bloggers Conference, in Asheville, NC. \u00a0Here&#8217;s a quick nod to one of the 2014\u00a0sponsors!<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Last year at the <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/beerbloggersconference.org\/');\"  href=\"http:\/\/beerbloggersconference.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Beer Bloggers<\/a>\u00a0Conference, <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/spiritedshipper.com\/');\" title=\"Spirited Shipper\"  href=\"http:\/\/spiritedshipper.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Spirited Shipper<\/a>\u00a0(sponsor) provide us with a beer shipping box designed for a dozen 12 oz. beers. \u00a0After the conference, it took a while\u00a0before we had the opportunity to test it out, but needless to say, we\u00a0sent it on a voyage\u00a0from Massachusetts to Oregon.<\/p>\n<p><a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/downloads\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/spirited-shipper-logo.png');\" materials during times when it was difficult to find\u00a0reliable and sturdy packaging to ship delicate items.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2beerguys.com\/blog\/2015\/07\/12\/spirited-shipper-sending-beer-safely\/spirited-shipper_141118_027\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-10316\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" skeptical about shipping beer to a friend (more paranoid that despite all my attempts at packing the beer with the utmost care would still result in broken dreams). \u00a0Once I worked up the courage to ship the box, I gathered a menagerie of my favorite New England Beers to ship out west. \u00a0I even grabbed a 2007 Redhook Treble Hook from my basement for a surprise.<a href=\"http:\/\/2beerguys.com\/blog\/2015\/07\/12\/spirited-shipper-sending-beer-safely\/spirited-shipper_141118_016\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-10314\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-10314\" src=\"http:\/\/2beerguys.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/spirited-shipper_141118_016-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"spirited shipper_141118_016\" was quite easy and nearly effortless. \u00a0The A-B-C directions printed on the cardboard was easy to follow. \u00a0Although\u00a0I was nervous that each of the bottle inserts had an opening towards the bottom of one of the sides that exposed a portion of the glass, I followed the instructions (please inform my wife).<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style type=\"text\/css\">\n\t\t\t#gallery-1 {\n\t\t\t\tmargin: both\" \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When the packaging job was complete, I brought the box to the local shipping store. \u00a0I quickly discovered that the Spirited Shipper logo on the side of the box was an albatross \u00a0and may prevent me from shipping my suds from that location (store policy was not to ship alcohol of any sort). \u00a0Frustration was building and I refused to be defeated. \u00a0So I purchased some brown paper, wrapped the box and went to an alternate\u00a0shipping facility where no questions were asked about the contents of my package (other than my declaration that it was in fact a gift).<a href=\"http:\/\/2beerguys.com\/blog\/2015\/07\/12\/spirited-shipper-sending-beer-safely\/spirited-shipper_36-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-10340\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-10340\" src=\"http:\/\/2beerguys.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/spirited-shipper_361-300x200.jpg\" \u00a0The souvenir bottles arrived safely.<\/p>\n<p>I look forward to shipping more beer with the Spirited Shipper in the future. \u00a0I am thinking about purchasing a few of the smaller\/wine boxes, which support 22 oz. bombers as opposed to shipping a dozen 12 oz. beers at a time.<\/p>\n<p>On to the next journey!<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;
