To celebrate the Holiday Season, we have teamed up with beer bloggers and craft beer enthusiasts around the country to host the sixth annual beer advent calendar. This is the season of sharing and we intend to share our love of beer with you. We can’t believe it’s been 6 years already!<\/p>\n

Commercial Description: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Two Roads Holiday Ale is inspired by the little known Biere de Noel style, a subset of Biere de Garde, both of which originated on small farmhouse breweries in the north of France. Biere de Noel, which translates as \u201cChristmas Beer,” tends to exhibit a more malty profile than a typical Biere de Garde.
\nIn its native France this special type of ale is brewed by just a handful of small breweries and is only available for the few weeks leading up to Christmas.<\/p>\n

Why I selected Bi\u00e8re de Noel:
\n<\/strong>I\u2019ve participated in the 2beerguys 31 Beers of December Advent Calendar since 2012 and I have to thank Sean for asking me to join the fun again this year! I\u2019ve been rather quiet in the craft beer world lately, but this is the time of year to get into the spirit.
\nTwo Roads Brewing has consistently come across my table over the past couple years, and this holiday seasonal Biere de Garde style ale has most certainly got me in the holiday spirit.
\nFully equipped with a serious malt character up front (which I tend to look for in my holiday beers) that clears out rather quickly into a nice blend of french hops that provide a palate cleansing and refreshing bitterness. The ABV is just high enough to warm you up and the overall balance is quite wonderful.<\/p>\n

\nCurrently slinging guitar for Japanese hardcore punk legends Aggressive Dogs, Christopher Drapeau is also consistently recording and releasing a plethora of solo music. He is well known for his years in the New England Heavy Metal outfit Thy Will Be Done which saw him supporting and touring with bands like Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage, and Metallica to name a few.
