Why I selected Winter Festbeir:<\/strong>
\nI have long been a fan of Weihenstephan, not only because they have been brewing beer since 1040 but also because they produce some exceptional beers. (Touring the brewery is on my to do list when we make it to Germany.) Over the past few years, the Winter Festbier called out to me from the shelves of local stores, yet I ignored its plea. 2016 was a chance to change that, and get one of these bad boys off the shelf and pop it open.
\nTrue to a German beer this boy is a pure lager, clean and crisp. It’s refreshing to sip a winter beer without all the bells and whistles. Not that I need to recommend this beer (it speaks for itself) but I’m going to–because you all need to try it.<\/p>\n
