For 13 consecutive years, Redhook Ale Brewery\u2019s RedhookFest has attracted thousands of craft beer and music lovers from across New England for a summertime bash in the brewery\u2019s backyard. This year, the event, complete with music, food, and beer, will feature rock\/jam music legend <strong>Blues Traveler<\/strong> as the headline act. The platinum-selling, Grammy winning band, led by harmonica wielding front man, <strong>John Popper,<\/strong> is known for spontaneous spirit and electric energy that is sure to leave fans thirsty for more.<\/p>\n<p>RedhookFest is a family-friendly festival including a vendor village complete with games, activities, and prizes from local cultural and adventure-based businesses. Additionally, for the first time in event history, RedhookFest is going green. The fest is aiming for near zero waste by maximizing recycling and composting efforts and by using compostable corn-based products in place of non-compostable materials. The nutrient-rich compost will then be used to grow hop plants and flowers in the brewery\u2019s beer garden.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/forblog\/blues_traveler.jpeg\" alt=\"Blues Traveler\" align=\"right\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tickets for RedhookFest are $20 when purchased in advance. <\/strong>Tickets for kids 12 and under are $5 at the gate with the purchase of an adult ticket.
