On Sunday, Sean and I ventured down to Newburyport’s annual\u00a0Yankee Homecoming .\u00a0 We did the typical walk around town, allowing our noses to waft in the smells of fried food and enjoying \u00a0the hustle and bustle of people, vendors and local music.<\/p>\n
As we\u00a0strolled down the boardwalk, we marveld at the many boats docked there.\u00a0 Some were rather humble and others were far from it.\u00a0 One boat in particular caught our eye (we couldn’t help but staring).\u00a0 Named approprietly (something regarding going big), it had 4 or 5 decks and was brimming with all the luxuries one could ever want.\u00a0 As we made it to the end of the yacht, we noticed people sitting around a table at the back enjoying some tasty beverages.\u00a0 Sean of course, couldn’t help but try to figure out what kind of beer was being enjoyed.<\/p>\n
Light “fizzy beers”\u00a0were the choice of these seafarers…\u00a0hmmmm<\/em>.\u00a0 I began to think about the life of someone who travels by boat in the summer and dissect why they would choose a certain type of beer over the other.\u00a0 There are many possibilities…<\/p>\n 1. They prefer<\/em> the light beers….<\/p>\n 2. They have never tried craft brews…<\/p>\n 3. They work for the big guys and thus should drink their beers…<\/p>\n 4. For them, boating is like camping and drinking light beers is roughing it…<\/p>\n 5. Did they need to save money on their beer because the boat was so pricey…haha<\/p>\n 6. They never even thought about it…just went to the store and bought what they usually buy…<\/p>\n The next thoughts that flooded my mind were “what beers did\u00a0I drink before\u00a0I found craft brews?”\u00a0 What beers indeed.\u00a0 And, “would you ever turn down a ice cold “fizzy” brew on a hot day?” Would I indeed.\u00a0 And “If I owned a yacht what tasty beverages would I keep on board? hmmmm<\/p>\n My answer(s)?
