PHILADELPHIA, PA<\/strong> \u2013 The region\u2019s largest beer bar, City Tap House<\/a><\/strong> (The Radian Balcony, 3925 Walnut Street, 215-662-0105), has launched their new Beer 2.0<\/strong> program, a clever way for guests to recall their favorites from among the 60+ draught beer offerings.\u00a0 Each guest receives a \u201cTasting Notes\u201d sheet where they can record their observations about their beers, ranking them \u201cStellar,\u201d \u201cGreat,\u201d \u201cSo-So,\u201d and \u201cNot So Much,\u201d and including comments.\u00a0 At the end of their visit, they can return the Tasting Notes to their server or bartender, and City Tap House will create an online database that includes their rankings notes about the beers.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost of us have been to a wine or beer tasting, had a great time \u2013 and promptly forgotten all about the things that we really liked or disliked,\u201d says Beer Steward Andy Farrell<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u201cBeer 2.0 is an ongoing record of what our guests have enjoyed and allows them to consult their notes at any time, even on a smart phone during their meal!<\/p>\n

\nTo date, City Tap House has over 2,500 people signed up for Beer 2.0 who can access their \u201cBeer Profile\u201d through the City Tap House website http:\/\/www.citytaphouse.com\/beer20.php<\/a>.\u00a0 This Profile helps direct the bartenders and waitstaff to interesting or unusual beers that they think the guest will appreciate, based on their tastes and previous visits.<\/p>\n

With extensive open-air seating on two terraces and a row of five stone fire pits overlooking Walnut Street combined with the rich, rustic feel of a mountain lodge, this University City newcomer is quickly becoming one of the city\u2019s most popular food-and-beer destinations.\u00a0 City Tap House is located on the second level of The Radian<\/a>, a pristine new landmark building just steps from the campuses of the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University.<\/p>\n
