I usually tune in to\u00a0 <\/strong>CBS <\/strong>channel 4 in the morning to watch a little news while Lillie (my 7 month old) gets her breakfast bottle.\u00a0 This week, the anchors have been\u00a0 doing a daily segment called “Things I’ve always wanted to do”.\u00a0 Each day, one of the anchors has the chance to follow through with something they’ve always wanted to do.\u00a0 Today was Jeff Glor’s day to share.\u00a0 He chose to shadow his brother for a day.\u00a0 His brother, Dave Glor, is a beer shepherd at New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins, CO.\u00a0 Though the segment was intentioned to be more entertaining than educational, it did shed light on the effort and connoisseurship of brewing.\u00a0 The segment did highlight the fact that there is a lot of skill and technique that goes into the crafting of their beers.\u00a0 Though only briefly, we were introduced to Lauren Salazar, New Belgium’s sensory specialist and one of it’s brewers.\u00a0 Amazing that her acute senses have\u00a0earned her such acclaim in the beer world!\u00a0 There were many other points that were interesting, and enlightening…hopefully educating viewers that New Belgium and other breweries like it have a quality product that is backed by professionals that take pride in their craft.<\/p>\n
