That is why this year we will again be holding a Troop Supply Drive along with the seasonal tasting of Harpoon Celtic Ale to collect items to send to the armed forces currently deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>Troops really appreciate, and need, support from home to get them through their deployments, especially those that have kept them away from their families and friends during the Holidays.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/forblog\/harpoon-celtic-label.gif\" alt=\"Harpoon Celtic Ale Label\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We will be hosting a tasting of a Harpoon Celtic Ale here at the Harpoon Brewery on February 23, 2011 and ask that if you plan on attending, please RSVP below and bring a donation with you to add to our Supply Drive. We would also appreciate monetary donation to be used to ship the items.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Below is a list of suggested items to bring with you to the tasting:<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nSnacks (nothing that will melt)<br \/>\nBeef Jerky<br \/>\nTrail Mix<br \/>\nNuts<br \/>\nRice meals (microwaveable)<br \/>\nTuna packets<br \/>\nInstant Pasta<br \/>\nHomemade treats (should be put into Gladware or Tupperware and frozen)<br \/>\nCandy (no chocolate or anything else that will melt)<br \/>\nHot sauce<br \/>\nDrink powder for bottled water<br \/>\nCrystal Light individual powder<br \/>\nZipp Fizz<br \/>\nEmergen-C powder<br \/>\nComforts from Home<br \/>\nWhite and black crew socks<br \/>\ngym short<br \/>\nHanes t-shirts<br \/>\ntravel pillows<br \/>\nMagazines (even if old), books (paperback)<br \/>\nDVDs: movies, TV shows, professional sports<br \/>\nToiletries<br \/>\nCough drops<br \/>\nBaby Wipes<br \/>\nFlossing Sticks<br \/>\nFoot powder<br \/>\nBenedryl Cream<\/p>\n<p>Notes or cards are always read and appreciated as well.
