Twisted Pine Brewery Gives Back – Local brewery hosts benefit for the Autism Society of Boulder County \u201cWe worked with the Boulder Autism Society last year and had great success!\u201d<\/em> Says Ale House Manager, Emily Valenta. Twisted Pine hosts monthly fundraising events onsite, last month they were able to generate $3400 for the Kiwanis Club, which provides service dogs to children with allergies and special needs. The Autism Society\u2019s mission is to raise autism awareness<\/strong> in Boulder and Broomfield Counties by supporting all individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), their families, and professionals. They provide information on all topics related to autism, educational support, autism research and legislation.<\/p>\n \n The benefit goes all day on Sunday with brewery Olympics from 2-4p<\/strong>. You can sign up for the Olympics in advance or at the door, entry is a recommended $10 donation. \u201cIt\u2019s about having fun and helping out a great local organization,\u201d<\/em> Says Valenta, \u201cWe couldn\u2019t do it without the support of our community.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n ###<\/p>\n Based in Boulder, Colorado Twisted Pine Brewing Company has been handcrafting beer since 1995. They are the brewers of such favorites as \u201cHoppy Boy IPA,\u201d \u201cRaspberry Wheat Ale\u201d and \u201cBilly\u2019s Chilies.\u201d The Ale House is a very popular local hangout and boasts 17 taps, 5 rotating. \nBoulder, Colo.<\/strong> \u2013 Twisted Pine Brewery has always made it a part of their mission statement to give back to the community and support local charities. On Sunday, April 17th from 12-6p<\/strong> they will be hosting a fundraiser for the Autism Society of Boulder County. The brewery will be donating $1 for every pint sold and hosting a silent auction with unique donations including jewelry, beer products and gift certificates to local hot spots. In addition to the auction Twisted Pine is hosting Brewery Olympics; a competition consisting of events such as blind keg tapping, frozen t-shirt contest, ridiculous relay race, beer trivia and, of course, a chug off. Teams of 2-6 people will compete for Twisted Pine Gear, gift certificates and bragging rights.<\/strong> This event is part of a series of fundraisers Twisted Pine will be hosting throughout the summer.<\/p>\n![\"Autism](\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/forblog\/autism_society_of_boulder.jpg\")
