Today is a sad day for what was, in our estimation, the best brewpub in New England.<\/p>\n
News out of Waterbury, Vermont is that The Alchemist Pub & Brewery has been taken over by flood waters from Hurricane Irene and, as a result, will be closing her doors for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n

The Alchemist Pub & Brewery. 2003-2011 Like a phoenix from the flames, we shall be reborn….. the floodwaters have inundated the pub….. <\/p><\/blockquote>\nThis news comes in the midst of some remarkably exciting news for the brewery, as they are set to open their cannery this Friday.<\/p>\n
The cannery was built and developed to brew and can Heady Topper, The Alchemist’s Double IPA that weighs in at 8% ABV and 120 IBU’s.<\/p>\n

Daily 11:00am \u2013 7pm.<\/p>\n
Self guided tours of the brewing facilities are available.<\/p>\n
Available for sale will be our Heady Topper, in 4-packs of 16oz cans, for $12.00, or 1 can for $3.75.<\/p>\n
Also available will be 2oz tasters right in the store for $1.00 with a limit of 4 per person.<\/p>\n
