The IPA Hop-ology is a new sampler 12 pack, created by the masterminds at the Boston Beer Company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why are they masterminds?<\/strong> Well, this new 12 pack offering includes 6 of their new, small batch IPAs. Each one different in their own way, packing a strong hop punch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Still, why are they masterminds?<\/strong> Well, it&#8217;s the season to splash a new product offering into the market -like beer in cans or spring\/summer beers. \u00a0 And Sam Adams is releasing a hop wallop of an IPA punch!<\/p>\n<p>Also, with all of the new breweries opening up, sometimes it is hard for the big guys to remain fresh and cool. Now, here comes the new IPA Hop-ology pack, putting Sam Adams back in the front of the pack. \u00a0Bring on the heat and chill off with an IPA<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why IPAs? \u00a0Why now?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some may think that IPAs were a fad, but Sam Adams thinks differently. With the increasing popularity of craft brew, more and more beer drinkers are discovering IPAs. As a huge IPA fan, like many others, find that most IPA drinkers are very passionate about craft brew and hops &#8212; wanting more and more hops. I believe that there is a beer in this pack that every IPA fan will enjoy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/2012_pintley_samadams\/samadams_darkdepths.JPG\" alt=\"Sam Adams - Dark Depths\" width=\"123\" height=\"165\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/2012_pintley_samadams\/samadams_tasman_red.JPG\" alt=\"Sam Adams - Tasman Red\" width=\"123\" height=\"165\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/2012_pintley_samadams\/samadams_grumpmonk02.JPG\" alt=\"Sam Adams - Grumpy Monk\" width=\"123\" height=\"165\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/2012_pintley_samadams\/samadams_latitude48.JPG\" alt=\"Sam Adams Latitude 48\" width=\"123\" height=\"165\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/2012_pintley_samadams\/samadams_whitewater_ipa.JPG\" alt=\"Sam Adams - White Water IPA\" width=\"123\" height=\"165\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here they are, check them out for yourself!<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Third Voyage (Double IPA, 8.0% ABV, 85 IBUs):<\/strong> Bright and intense with a vivid hop punch, this brew was inspired by Captain James Cook whose treacherous third voyage took him from England to New Zealand to the Pacific Northwest.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dark Depths (Baltic IPA, 7.6% ABV, 60 IBUs):<\/strong> Immersed in dark, roasted malts and a bold citrus hop character, these big and contrasting flavors are brought together with the smoothness of a lager.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tasman Red (Red IPA, 6.75% ABV, 60 IBUs):<\/strong> Rounded and smooth with a dry hop finish, this wily brew\u2019s grapefruit, pine, and earthy notes come from its Tasmanian hops. The hops are balanced by a smooth roastiness with hints of toffee to create a full and rich body.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grumpy Monk (Belgian IPA, 5.7% ABV, 55 IBUs):<\/strong> Inspired by the Belgian ales brewed by monks, they took the spicy clove and fruit flavors of a Belgian yeast and combined them with the brazen, piney and citrusy hop character of an IPA.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Latitude 48 (IPA, 6.0% ABV, 60 IBUs):<\/strong> A blend of five different hops, Hallertau Mittelfrueh, East Kent Goldings, Ahtanum\u2122, Simcoe\u00ae and Zeus, from regions all falling within the 48th latitude line.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Whitewater IPA (Belgian White IPA, 5.8% ABV, 60 IBUs):<\/strong> A fusion of two beer styles, this brew combines the crisp white wheat, sweet citrus, and spicy coriander of a Belgian-style white ale with the big hoppiness and grapefruit notes of an IPA.
