Each season, our goal is to bring consumers two once-in-a-lifetime beers made right here in Massachusetts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Release #1<\/strong> brings together the forces of <strong>Backlash Beer Company<\/strong> (<a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/backlashbeer.com\/');\"  href=\"http:\/\/backlashbeer.com\/\">http:\/\/backlashbeer.com\/<\/a>) and <strong>Night Shift Brewing<\/strong> (<a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/www.nightshiftbrewing.com\/');\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.nightshiftbrewing.com\/\">http:\/\/www.nightshiftbrewing.com\/<\/a>).\u00a0 Both are relatively newer breweries with Backlash opening in 2010\/2011 and Night Shift officially launching in March of 2012.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/forblog\/pintley_logo.jpg\" alt=\"Pintly logo\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The ONCEMADE\u00a0project was something that Tim, Rich and the Pintley\u00a0crew have been thinking about for a couple of years. Now, with the combined crew from Backlash and Night Shift, release #1 will take place on September 17th.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Release #1 features two Barrel-Aged Sour Imperial Saisons<\/strong>\u2014one from Night Shift Brewing and one from Backlash Beer. While the saison is a historic farmhouse style, these beers are anything but conventional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/forblog\/backlash_logo.jpg\" alt=\"Backlash Beer Company logo\" width=\"147\" height=\"123\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Backlash&#8217;s\u00a0pale saison\u00a0with a pilsner and wheat malt base<\/strong>\u2014is a minimalist 6% ABV masterpiece with Nugget and Willamette hops.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Night Shift&#8217;s red saison<\/strong>\u2014boasting a complex malt bill that includes caramel, wheat, rye, and acid malts\u2014will reach over 8% ABV\u00a0and features Saaz and Willamette hops, as well as agave nectar added to the end of the boil.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/forblog\/night_shift_brewing.jpg\" alt=\"Night Shift Brewing logo\" width=\"106\" height=\"138\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Both beers underwent primary fermentation with a traditional saison\u00a0yeast before aging for two months in a combination of oak barrels. The brewers selected local red wine barrels from Les Trois Emmes Winery in New Marlborough Massachusetts and classic brandy barrels from southern California. The beers are aged on <strong>farm-grown Massachusetts raspberries<\/strong> with added <strong>Brettanomyces yeast<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.2beerguys.com\/images\/forblog\/oncemade_backlash_nightshift.png\" alt=\"Oncemade - Release 1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The saison&#8217;s will be packaged in <strong>hand-numbered pinewood box<\/strong>, which will include <strong>two 750ML beers<\/strong>, <strong>two hand-made wooden coasters<\/strong>, a <strong>piece<\/strong> of one of the <strong>barrels<\/strong>, and a <strong>signed letter from the brewers<\/strong>. These beers are exclusive to the project, and there will <strong>only be 900 two-bottle packages<\/strong> ever brewed!<\/p>\n<p>Pre-orders begin today at <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/www.OnceMadeBeer.com');\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.OnceMadeBeer.com\">OnceMadeBeer.com<\/a>, and we\u2019ll be releasing the beers around September 17.
