San Diego, CA \u2013\u00a0August 7, 2012 \u2013\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>After much anticipation, Karl Strauss is opening its seventh brewery restaurant in the north inland San Diego community of 4S Ranch, just west of Rancho Bernardo. This is the company\u2019s first brewery restaurant to open in more than ten years.\u00a0 Karl Strauss has spent the last decade focused on growing its brewing operations and expanding its beer distribution beyond San Diego, more than doubling in size from 20,000 barrels in 2002 to 50,000 barrels projected for 2012. \u201cNow that we\u2019ve increased our capacity and set the foundation for growth, it\u2019s the right time to open another brewery restaurant,\u201d says Matt Rattner, President and Co-Founder of Karl Strauss Brewing Company.\u00a0 \u201cWe look forward to sharing our beers with the 4S Ranch community and from the emails we\u2019ve been getting, there are some thirsty folks out there!\u201d<\/p>\nThe new location brings to life the company\u2019s refreshed brand and features a metro-loft, brewery vibe.\u00a0 From the outside, large glass windows peer into the brand new 7-barrel brew house, letting you know that you\u2019re dining right next to the working brewery.\u00a0 Inside, a mix of metal, stone, concrete and reclaimed wood bring the brewery elements into the dining space. Large garage door roll-ups bring the outdoors in and overlook the large patio and outdoor fire-pit. The custom-built concrete bar is the heart of the space, with up to twelve beers on tap at all times, including a tap dedicated to beers brewed onsite.<\/p>\n\n
