Delicately spiced with canela, nutmeg, mace, orange peel and pure vanilla extract. 7.0% alcohol by volume.

Why I selected Hoppy Holidaze:
Brewed by one of my favorite local brewers, Arne Johnson, Hoppy Holidaze is a truly unqiue and extremely tasty holiday beer. Golden amber with well-balanced flavors of caramel, vanilla, citrus and baking spices, Hoppy Holidaze is oddly reminiscent of carrot cake.

A mild hop bitterness pleasantly surprises the palate, giving way to a spicy, semi-dry finish. In my opinion, Hoppy Holidaze pairs particularly well with sugar cookies, aged Gouda, roasted sweet potatoes, lighter meats, and, naturally, carrot cake.

About The Beer Wench:

Ashley Routson, known amongst the craft beer community as The Beer Wench, is a self-proclaimed craft beer evangelist and social media maven on a mission to advance the craft beer industry through education, inspiration and advocacy. With the help of their supportive families and a handful of eager investors, this dynamic pair was able to create their dream.

On April Fools Day, 1989, Craig and Brendan proudly opened the doors of Marin Brewing Company, offering Marin County its first taste of what would go on to be a globally award winning Microbrewery. Right out of the gate, in October 1989, Marin Brewing Company won the first four of what would become many medals at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver. Meanwhile, back at home, Marin Brewing Company was quickly becoming the go-to place for beer enthusiasts. It was a dream come true for long-time die-hard home brewer, Brendan Moylan. http://www.marinbrewing.com

@TheBeerWench, @MarinBrewingCo Beer Advent Calendar – Day 25: Hoppy Holidaze presented by Ashley Routson To celebrate the Holiday Season, 2Beerguys.com and Seacoastbeveragelab.com have teamed up with beer bloggers around the country to host the second annual beer bloggers advent calendar.
