I was out running errands with my daughter, and popped into Copp Brewery, my local nano, for quick refreshment \u2013 a pint for me and root beer for her. The brewer and proprietor, Fran Copp, had just put a new creation on tap. The hazelnut coffee oatmeal stout tickled my taste buds, like drinking Nutella, but with the coffee notes and hops cutting the edge enough that it wasn\u2019t sickly sweet. As is often the case with his new beers, Fran sought suggestions for its name.<\/p>\n Nothing was decided that day, but the following evening, the wheels in my daughter\u2019s mind apparently had been turning. She told me, \u201cDad, they should name that beer \u201cGood Morning, Good Night.\u2019\u201d I texted Fran the suggestion, and sure enough, the next time I went there, up on the chalkboard was \u201cG\u2019Morning.\u201d (The chalkboard isn\u2019t very wide, so it had to be shortened).<\/p>\n Unfortunately, the beer only is available on tap at the brewery, where you can also buy a growler to go. For now. \nI lived most of my life without experiencing the deliciousness that is Nutella. I\u2019m not sure why \u2013 maybe the delectable hazelnut-chocolate spread wasn\u2019t much known in Florida when I was growing up, or perhaps it was part of an intricate conspiracy by one of the many secret organizations that strive to control our lives. Regardless, it was love at first taste when I first made its acquaintance a few years ago.
