Bock

Review - The Matt Brewing Company's Saranac Bock

"Brewers Notes: Bock is not from the bottom of the barrel! It is a rich malty beer brewed with traditional German ingredients and aged for months to give it a smooth malty character. Look for a rich full-bodied beer." -- The Matt Brewing Company

Pours a medium amber color into a still body, crowned by a large, off-white fizzy head with fantastic retention. Good lacing. Aroma is of faint sweet malts. Initially, it has a light sweet tinge, but quickly shifts to a light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied, it has a slightly dry texture with soft carbonation. Slight metallic mouthfeel.
