Review - Portsmouth Brewery's Black Cat Stout
No commerical description available.
The Black Cat Stout settles into a black body with virtually no head. It was rather thin in the body. The nose detected a strong malt presence with hints of coal, chocolate and black licorice. The initially light bitter taste remained constant for a light bitter finish for a long duration. Light to medium in body, the Black Cat Stout was smooth on the palate with virturally no carbonation. It tasted like coffee with a coal presence.
