Seven Barrel Brewery

Review - Seven Barrel Brewery's Champion Reserve IPA

"Golden color, a hop lover’s delight" -- Seven Barrel Brewery

Growler from the brewery. Pours a swirling medium amber color into a hazy body with a large, fizzy off-white head. Head has changed to a white color, which is very peculiar. Fair lacing. Aroma is of grassy hops, like a freshly cut lawn in spring after an early morning dew. Initial taste is moderately bitter with a substantial bite to it, accompanied by a grain taste, but it thins out at the finish, dulling to a light bitterness with a long duration. It is light-bodied, and has a slight dry texture with active carbonation. Last sip is very grassy.

Reviewer's notes: Enticing aroma, attractive body, less than spectacular taste, but overall a solid beer.
