Review - Middle Ages Brewing Company's Grail Ale
"An amber ale with a ruby hue, fresh hop aroma, rich malt body and a complex palate." -- Middle Ages Brewing Company
Pours a dark copper color like a warn-out penny, with a nice, frothy off-white head. Good retention. Aroma is buttery, likened to buttercream frosting, also with notes of peach, alcohol and bread crust. Initial taste is fairly sweet, giving way to a neutral malty taste with, again, tastes of buttercream and bread crust. Light-bodied, it has a watery texture with very soft carbonation.
