Review - North Coast Brewing Company's PranQster
"Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers' art. Sophisticated brewing techniques, yeast blends and unique flavoring elements have elevated the beers of Belgium to the status enjoyed by wine in other countries. PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that results in a floral nose, a full fruity flavor and a clean finish." -- North Coast Brewing Company
Pours a light yellow color, settling a medium amber color with a hazy body, crowned by a bubbly white head. Fair lacing in the wake of the fully diminishing head. Aroma is full of a lemony, spicy nose with a beautiful, flowery bouquet of malts. Initial taste is light sweet, ramping up to a moderately sweet finish with a really nice, very smooth mouthfeel. Alcohol taste is prevalent at the end. Medium-bodied, it has soft carbonation that adds to the oily mouthfeel.
Reviewer's notes: This is the type of beer that gives you a reason to stay til 3 am and close down a pub.
