Liberty Ale

Review - Anchor Brewing Company's Liberty Ale

"Originally brewed in 1975 to commemorate Paul Revere's ride, this brew is a heavily hopped ale (Cascade hops) with a copper color and a hoppy nose." -- Anchor Brewing Company

Pours a light golden color with a frothy, white head thats an average size with good lacing. Aroma is hoppy, as well as malty with white bread notes. Initial taste is heavy bitter at first, mellowing to a soft bitter finish with a short duration. With its oily texture, it's light-bodied with very gentle carbonation.
