Review - Coronado Brewing Company's Islander IPA
"A high alcohol content and intense hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. Copper in color with medium maltiness and body, and moderate fruity-ester flavor and aroma." -- Coronado Brewing Company
Pours a light golden color with a massive, off-white chunky head with outstanding retention, providing phenomenal lacing over the dark honey colored body. The nose is filled with a moderate hop presence and a hay like characteristic. Initial taste is faintly bitter, ramping up to a heavy bitter dry finish. Light to medium bodied, it has a dry and creamy texture with active carbonation. This is a fairly hoppy beer, but its very drinkable that we're enjoying sitting back and finishing.
