Review - Paper City Brewing Company's Ireland Parish Brand Golden Ale
"A medium bodied blonde ale lightly hopped with fine domestic hops in the kettle and dry hopped at the end of the boil for a subtle aroma." -- Paper City
Pours a moderate amber color with a large, off-white fizzy to frothy head with excellent retention and lots of action. A second addition of the brew to the glass provides a more pure white hue to the head. Aroma is of uncomplicated malts with straightforward notes of light bread. Surprisingly sweet up front, reminiscent of plain yogurt, it gently moves to a slightly bitter taste that strengthens as it settles, providing more of a hoppy bitter finish with tastes of sweet raspberries. Light to medium bodied, it has an alarmingly creamy texture that leaves us sticky with soft fizz.
