Review - Portsmouth Brewery's Cask Conditioned Black Cat Stout with Warrior Hops
No commercial description available.
Pours a rich dark chocolate color with an almost imperviously opaque tint, crowned by a spectacular light brown, sticky, foamy head with superbly sticky lacing and excellent retention. The nose is filled with hot milk chocolate notes and sweet kettle corn with a chewy maltiness. The initial taste flows with a soft bittersweetness that gently moves to a predominantly sweet finish with a delicate silky carbonated feel. Medium bodied with a creamy texture, it leaves our mouths happy with a nice smooth coating.
