Review - Capitol City Brewing Company's English Strong Ale
No commercial description available
Pours a deep brown hue with a slight red tinge, that settles out to a deep garnet color with a small, fizzy, light brown head that diminishes down to nothing but a wispy hazy coating on the beer. The aroma is very subdued with a faint hint of chocolate and a slight astringency, but not much else to speak about. Initial taste is slightly bitter which carries through to the finish, not very balanced with no malt presence. The finish fizzles with a less than spectacular pop leaving us feeling lackluster. Light to medium bodied, it has a light creamy texture with soft carbonation and a pleasant mouthfeel.
