Review - Southern Tier Brewing Company's Choklat
No commercial description.
Pours very black with active carbonation, light brown average creamy head leaving fizzy lacing behind as it diminishes almost completely. Pleasant chocolate aroma, likened to Tootsie Rolls and that is almost spot on. The chocolate overwhelms the malts here, not surprising given the name. First taste is heavy sweet, peeling back to a moderately sweet finish that hangs around for a long time. Very bold, burnt chocolate mouthfeel, it is light to medium bodied, unbalanced, with a strong alcohol presence and soft carbonation. It would be tough to drink a whole pint. The aroma promised a lot but didn't represent well in the taste
