Review - Amherst Brewing Company's Cascade IPA

"Light in color, medium body, with a hop bitterness and Cascade hop finish." -- Amherst Brewing Company

Bomber courtesy of Wood. Pours a hazy medium amber color producing a small, white head that fully diminishes leaving a soft lacing behind. Active body with medium-looking weight to it. The hops are deliciously present as there is a great sharp sprucey hop aroma jumping out of the glass, along with some resins...akin to a freshly split spruce log. First taste gives a hit of light bitterness, which lingers right through to the finish without much variance, but it does last a long while. Light-bodied with a watery texture, this is a very good IPA with great drinkability with active carbonation, citrus/grapefruit acidity, and a clean finish. Tasty and refreshing.
