Review - Anchor Brewing Company's Bock Beer

Our first Anchor review, 574 reviews into our careers and this is the brewery credited with starting the craft beer movement. I\'m calling shenanigans on us. Pours a dark brown color creating a billowing fizzy to frothy tan head, along with some gentle lacing that slips down the glass as we rotate the beer. Body clarity is high with a beautiful garnet hue. Aroma is solid with roasted coffee malts and some soft chocolate notes. Initial taste is a slight coffee bitter, maturing to a maltier, roasty finish with some chewy bitterness. Medium bodied, it has a creamy texture with some chocolate taste leaving a burnt dry finish.
