Review - Casco Bay Brewing Company's Brown Ale
No commercial description
Pours a dark chestnut brown color with a high amount of clarity. Fairly active body, still very clear after the head has completely diminished. Aroma is buttery and creamy with moderate strength, giving a very distinct aroma with dark molasses backbone. Initial taste is buttery and smooth with a mellow malt sweetness, finishing with a slight bitter taste but not overwhelming the malty goodness. Light to medium bodied, there are soft malts with some creamy butteriness that leaves an oily film with soft carbonation. Very distinct Shipyard offering.
