Red Sky

Review - Clipper City Brewing Company's Heavy Seas Red Sky at Night

"This beer is brewed in the Belgian Saison style (country farm house ale). A potent yet delicate ale, brewed with a unique Belgian yeast" -- Clipper City

Pours a slighty hazy light golden color with a large off-white fizzy, almost frothy, that falls away to nothing as it sits. The body is slight hazy as the pour was. Aroma is full of banana esters with a light malt aspect and some warm alcohol notes. Initial taste is slightly sweet, but quickly gets kicked aside by a strong sour finish that's accompanied by a touch of alcohol warmth. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel, sour finish feel with an oily film and soft alcohol. Very well balanced, very enjoyable.
