AC Golden Herman Joseph

Review - AC Golden Brewing Company's Herman Josephs Private Reserve

"No commercial description available"

Pours a medium yellow color with a two finger off-white fizzy head with a high amount of activity. Lots of carbonation in the glass. Brilliant clarity. Having settled, still a good amount of carbonation rising up from the bottom. Aroma is of moderate strength malts with some doughy yeast notes and some light grains. Hop presence is non-existent. Initial taste has a bit of grain bitterness, powered by very active carbonation. Finish continues to be slightly bitter but has lot some of the grain character and allows some hop characteristics to show through. Light to medium bodied (for a lager), it is clean and crisp with active carbonation. Leaves the mouth slightly dry, but not too dry.

Drinkable, light and smooth, the pleasant finish separates this beer from other light lagers.
