Gate City Brewfest
If you have a need for great craft beer, tasty wings, and a day filled with family fun, then head to the city of Nashua this Saturday for the Gate City Brewfest. My brother-in-law Sean (our fearless leader and co-2beerguys founder) is one of the organizers. Although it has been a year since I attended with the family, all I have are warm fuzzies and good vibes when remembering the event. Everywhere I looked, people were smiling–whether sampling their new favorite brew, voting for their favorite wing, cheering on their favorite to win the home run derby, or just chatting up neighbors. I attended with my parents, husband, and children, and was pleasantly surprised that there was ample opportunity for fun to be had by all. While my parents entertained the kids with balloon hats, I was able to sample Shed Mountain Ale, an English strong ale from Otter Creek Brewing for the first time. Yum! I also couldn’t resist one of my favorites, Resonation Pale Ale by Great Rhythm Brewing Company. My dad, a food lover but not a drinker, fell in love with more than one wing. Once the event concluded, we extended our stay by having dinner at Martha’s Exchange right down the street. I sampled their Belgian White and Summer Sunset while my husband Ryan enjoyed a flight. I also got my Greek on with a beautiful plate full of Spanakopita (Spinach Pie), Chicken, and other Greek delishiousness. It was a wonderful day topped off by a splendid evening. You can view pictures below of our Gate City shenanigans.
Love,
