Review - Alaskan Brewing Company's Amber Alt Ale

" Alaskan Amber is based on a recipe from a turn-of-the-century brewery in the Juneau area. It was voted "Best Beer in the Nati on" in the 1988 Great American Beer Festival Consumer Poll." -- Alaskan Brewing Company

Pours dark amber with light activity. Medium size White mostly diminishing head and no lacing. It didn't have a distinct arom a, but we detected light hints of malt. Initially light sweet increasing into a moderately sweet taste for an average duration. Th in to medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation.

Reviewed on November 11th, 2006 with Amber at the Library Alehouse in Santa Monica, CA.
