Review - Boulder Beer Company - Sweaty Betty
"Sweaty Betty Blonde, a Bavarian-style wheat beer, is unfiltered and cloudy with subtle hints of clove and banana. Our summer seasonal that you won't want to let get away." -- Boulder Beer Company
The Sweaty Betty is another beer we've been staring at for a while, and finally decided to pick up and try. It pours a dark yellow color that was equated to the color of pineapple, crowned by an average-sized, white fizzy head. Virtually no lacing left behind by the mostly diminishing head. Hazy body with small particles, as this is an unfiltered offering. Aroma is an interesting bouquet of light bread malts, and a caribbean blend of banana and pineapple. Initial taste is lightly sweet and sour, with an acetic finish that doesn't last long. Light on the mouth, we're left both watery and oily, with soft carbonation..
Reviewer's notes: "Wheat beer, 5th in the Looking Glass series, lots of sediment in the last pour"
