Review - Cambridge Brewing Company's Cambridge Amber
"Well balanced, medium-bodied, with a deep amber-red color, this beer's complex palate covers all the bases. A malty caramel sweetness is followed by notes of chocolate and a dry, slightly roasty finish, complemented by a touch of fruity, spicy hops." -- Cambridge Brewing Company
Dark amber to light brown body with off-white head. Reminiscent of a nut brown with reddish overtones. Aroma is solid, with an abundance of sweet malts. Initial taste is moderately sweet, retreating to a light sweet and acidic with an average duration. Light to medium on the mouth, it has a clean, oily finish with soft carbonation.
This beer shatters our conceptions of an amber ale, boasting a complex palate with a sweet nose.
