Review - Cambridge Brewing Company's Easy Ryder Rye I.P.A.

"This well-hopped ale is brewed from 40% malted rye, the rest imported Belgian pale and Vienna malts. An unusual brewing grain in today’s American beer culture, rye has been used for centuries in Northern European brewing tradition. It has a faintly nutty flavor, which does its best to balance the intense hop flavor of this beer. Brewed and extensively dry-hopped with English Fuggles and Amercian Glacier, it boasts a deep golden mien, with a bit of haziness caused by the rye (much like the haze in a wheat beer). Crisp, clean, dry, refreshing, and VERY hoppy, with a firm malty backbone to keep it all together." -- Cambridge Brewing Company

Hazy appearance provided by the unfiltered process, it has a light to medium amber body with creamy, off-white head with superb lacing. Aroma is well balanced, with equal notes of subtle hops and roasted malts. Initial taste is moderately bitter which carries right through to the finish with an average duration. Medium weight on the mouth, it has a creamy texture with soft carbonation.
