Review - Cambridge Brewing Company's Half Wit
"The Belgian style of white "wheat" beer has its origins in the Brabent region of Belgium. We have recreated our wit beer using pilsner malts and 50% raw wheat, very lightly hopped, and subtly flavored orange peel from Seville, Spain, plus coriander and ginger. An authentic Belgian yeast strain combined with the raw wheat gives the beer its hazy peachy color. Light bodied, very effervescent and refreshing. Chin Chin!" -- Cambridge Brewing Company
Hazy medium yellow color with a white, fizzy head. No lacing. Aroma is strong with hints citrus and lemon, as well as spices and yeast. Initial taste is moderately sweet, mellowing to a light sweet/acidic finish with an average duration. Light bodied, it has a watery texture with active carbonation.
