Review - Concord Brewery's Rapscallion Creation

"Our dark-ruby "Creation" contains about 9% alcohol and is complete with hints of chocolate, plum as well as a sweet and sour sharpness. What truly makes this beer unique is that 10% of each batch has been aged in oak barrels for a period of months. This wood cask ageing will change the complexion of each batch quite a bit and lends a truly “vintage” quality. Suitable for "laying-down" and enjoying later." -- Concord Brewery

Creation pours a hazy dark amber color with a white fizzy head. Virtually no lacing and a fully-diminishing head. Aroma is a bouquet of alcohol, red wine, and citrus. No notable hop or malt presence. Initial flavor is salty and tart, with an acetic taste from start to finish. Short duration. Mouthfeel is dry.
