Review - Geary's Brewing Company's Hampshire Special Ale
"Hampshire has a huge toasted malt flavor balanced by assertive hoppiness. The finish is long and lingering with the malt and hop notes blending with alcohol warmth." --Geary's Brewing
The Hampshire Special Ale pours a dark amber color and settles a lighter shade. A large head fizzy/frothy light brown head forms above a hazy body. Mostly lasting head with good lacing. Aroma is of light bread malts and moderate yeast presence with soap notes. Initial taste is moderately sweet with a light bitter finish. Light on the mouth with an oily texture, there is soft carbonation and a metallic mouthfeel at the finish.
