Review - Geary's Brewing Company's Summer Ale
"The style of our summer ale is traditionally European, similar to a German kolsch: full bodied with a spicy hop tang and a rich, crystal clear golden color. Alcohol content is approximately 6% by volume." --Geary's Brewing
This was the second of the summer reviews. Nothing too special, but better than most light ales. Pours a cloudy white color, settles a medium, clear yellow. Small, fizzy off-white head, virtually no lacing behind a fully diminishing head. Aroma is of light cookie malts and light yeast. Initial taste is lightly acidic, finishing a light bitter with average duration. Light to medium on the mouth, it leaves us oily with flat carbonation.
