Review - Left Hand Brewery's Haystack Wheat

"Our medium-bodied, bottle-conditioned, wheat beer with classic accents of banana, cloves and nutmeg." -- Left Hand Brewery

The Haystack pours a dark yellow color with a fizzy, white head. Virtually no lacing, and a fully diminishing head, make this only an average presentation. However, the hazy body is redeeming in its coloring. Huge kick of citrus hops with a ton of lemon aroma. Lightly sweet at first, turning lightly acidic at the finish line. Very smooth taste, very lemony. Light on the mouth with a watery and oily feel, soft carbonation. Could use a slice of lemon for an extra burst. Bottled on 11/9/05.
