Review - Long Trail Brewing Company's Blackbeary Wheat
"Light, crisp and refreshing, Blackbeary Wheat is modeled after the spontaneously fermented "Lambics" of Belgium. Real blackberries added to the fermentation contribute a subtle fruitiness to this Summer Quencher! Available May through August." -- Long Trail Brewing Company
Interesting offereing from Long Trail. It pours a yellow body with a small, fizzy white head. Visually, not that impressive with no lacing and a fully diminishing head. Aroma is fruity with hints of raspberries. Initial flavor is lightly sweet, building to a moderately sweet taste at the finish with a long duration. Light on the mouth, it has an oily texture with lively carbonation.
Reviewer's notes: "Take a look at that, very sweet, very fruity taste, smells like it would taste like a cider. Bottled on 7/17/06"
