Review - Long Trail Brewing Company's Hefeweizen
"Here is our "Wheat Beer with Yeast." Beers brewed with a high proportion of wheat yield a crisp and refreshing flavor profile, while the addition of our special yeast adds a blend of complex citrus and spice flavors...forget the lemon wedge, this Hef' has plenty of flavor!" -- Long Trail Brewing Company
Of all the Long Trails we reviewed on this evening, this was the best of them. It pours a light yellow, murky body with a small, fizzy white head. Fair lacing behind a fully diminishing head. Aroma is of perfumey hops with notes of lemon and banana. Initial taste is lightly acidic, finishing with a moderately sweet taste with average duration. Good representation of the style. Body is light and teture is watery with lively carbonation.
Reviewer's notes: "It has a berry taste."
