Review - Long Trail Brewing Company's Hibernator
"A rich and malty, slightly sweet Winter Ale. Skillful use of brown sugar, honey, and six malts contribute to complex, warming character of this brew. Available October through March." -- Long Trail Brewing Company
The Hibernator pours a medium amber color with a small, frothy light-brown head. A fully diminishing head leaves fair lacing in its wake. Aroma is of light malts with notes of molasses, and a slight fruity scent. Initial flavor is moderate to heavy bitter, then rounds out to a light bitter finish with a long duration. Body is medium in density with a watery texture and fizzy carbonation.
Reviewer's notes: "This smells like a winter beer. Interesting aftertaste."
