The mystery beer in our Joe's Garage 12-pack was Batch 373. It is a porter, and pours a muddy dark brown color with a light-brown, frothy head. Good lacing, and a mostly diminishing head. Aromas are of dark chocolate, mild coffee, and alcohol. Initial flavor is moderately sweet, mellowing to a light sweet finish. Light on the mouth with a watery finish, there is soft carbonation at the end. Smooth coffee taste with a hint of coal.
