Review - Magic Hat Brewing Company's Hocus Pocus

"Our take on the classic summer wheat beer...it's a light, crisp ale for mowing lawns, hitting lazy fly balls, and communing with nature. Glowing like brilliant rays of golden sun, its malty sweetness finished tart and crisp. Hocus Pocus is best appreciated with a wedge of orange, offered as a sacrifice to cloudless days." -- Magic Hat

For what it is (a summer beer), it's fairly average. It is weak on aroma, and equally weak on taste, although both of these are fantastic qualities on a hot summer day, as it is very drinkable. What we could extract from the aroma was lemony hops and a light yeast smell. It pours a light yellow color with a sparkling body, capped off by a fizzy light brown head that fully diminishes. Initial flavor is lightly sweet with a lightly acidic finish. Light body, watery finish, flat carbonation. We'll have to try this one again in August.
