Review - The Matt Brewing Company's Saranac Black Forest
"A Bavarian black beer with distinctive carmel malt sweetness and rich creamy trademark head. Flavorful, yet smooth; it is very drinkable!" -- The Matt Brewing Company
The Black Forest pours a medium brown color with a light brown, large fizzy head. It has a mostly diminishing head with no lacing. Initial taste is lightly sweet, but sputters at the finish with a bland, indistinguishable taste. Short duration. It is both watery and thin on the mouth with average carbonation. Lacks oomph, no signature.
