Review - North Coast Brewing Company's Acme California IPA
"Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength." -- North Coast Brewing Company
The Acme IPA pours a light yellow color, and settles a medium amber color with a small white head. Good lacing with a fully diminishing head. Hazy body. Aroma is of moderate strength hops with citrus notes. Initial taste is heavy bitter, shifting to a light sweet finish with an average duration. Light to medium on the mouth, we're left conventionally dry with soft carbonation.
Reviewer's notes: Oh yea, now we've got some hops. Bitter, its good -- nice. I enjoy this. One of the 10 best breweries in the world.
