Review - Offshore Brewing Company's Hop Goddess
"The lovely Hop Goddess is cunning and blatant, and she’s been ‘hopped’ with a heavy hand. She has a stunning hazy-orange color and is embodied among succulent notes of earth and spice with malt sweetness like no other. The late additions of fresh hops add a distinct bouquet of fruit zest and a floral fragrance.
Quaff this Really Luscious Ale and worship The Hop Goddess." -- Offshore Brewing
The name spells it out before drinking this delicious, unfiltered IPA. It pours a light amber color with an active and hazy body. Medium, off-white creamy head which is mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderately sweet hoppy aroma with hints of sweet fruit. We couldn't quite place the exact fruit sent, but it was sweet. The initial taste was moderate to heavy bitter, followed by an unexpected moderately sweet taste that lasted for a long duration. With a malty taste, it was medium bodied with a creamy texture with soft carbonation. It wasn't as dry on the palate as a normal IPA can leave you. 69 IBU's.
Reviewer's notes: "Very tasty and drinkable - Kristen. It's gonna be bitter & we know it - Ian. Mikey likes it - Sean.
Started very bitter and then became really sweet. Quite surprising - Kat."
