Review - Otter Creek Brewing's Pale Ale
"A refreshing, golden amber brew, with Cascade hops from the Yakima Valley. Adding Cascades during conditioning captures the rich aroma of the hop, and completes the clean, well-balanced flavor of our American pale ale. Crisp, refreshing and exotically aromatic." -- Otter Creek Brewing Company
The pale ale pours a light amber color with a small, fizzy white head. Hazy body with fair lacing. Aroma is of lemony hops, as well as peach and alcohol. Initial taste is lightly sweet and bitter, finishing moderately bitter. Light and dry on the mouth with fizzy carbonation. Chalky and alcoholic feel afterwards. Not the best pale ale we've had, but certainly not the worst. Very drinkable. Bottled on 10/3/05, so shelf life probably had another month or so.
